Sardines 2019 collection
“join the Sardinism movement!”
Facing the strong presence of what is now a culture surrounding illustrated sardines in Portugal (promoted by Bordallo Pinheiro), for the release of the new 2019 sardines, we were inspired by the artistic and cultural movements from the 20th century.
“Sardinism!” (“Sardinhismo!”, in Portuguese), then appears as the new ‘-ism’ of this generation, based on a Manifesto with 6 principles.
In the year that the collection reached 100 collectable units, Sardinhas by Bordallo Pinheiro, appealed "Sardinists of all countries, unite!”. The campaign communicated a press release event, social media coverage and online activations promoting the collection throughout the year.
