In 2025, the Portuguese government was dissolved after a surprising turn of events, resulting in the most urgent, unexpected and rapid electoral campaign in recent years. The election was announced on 13 March and scheduled for 18 May, just two months later. In an attempt to create a positive mood around the young main candidate, the campaign focused on three key proposals: lower rents, tax the rich, and respect for shift workers.
