“AMA” is a non-profit association in Aveiro, sustaining a dog shelter and bringing awareness for animal adoption.

When I left Aveiro in 2016 to begin my journey abroad, I had to say goodbye to several things. The hardest one was by Sunday morning routine, beginning the week surrounded by the dogs at AMA.

In 2024, 8 years later, I got the chance to go back. I revisited those whom the time had its weight on, and met the new hostesses, to whom the first years had barely been completed. To me, the heavy weight was the distance.
